Scare PTSD Fear Away When We Pray
Scare PTSD Fear Away When We Pray
What happens to us when fear leaves us dangling at the end of a PTSD rope?
The first reaction is to shut down, deep emotionally without hope.
This happened to me when the job, savings, and prospects were all gone.
What it feels like is a deer killed leaving her hungry fawn.
Those feelings of what should have been done emerge with regret.
At least while staying in an abusive relationship we are fed while we fret!
Then the tears come and flow.
Those of us with past trauma really know.
All that new behavior therapy is shot right out the window.
Then something takes over and emerges from within, upward with a healthy glow.
We notice it right away.
It is that familiar warmth which comes to us while on our knees to pray.
The knot in our stomach unties itself with an invisible, helping hand.
The tears are dried when intuition to trust beyond ourselves makes us stand.
Those new affirmations we have been exercising seem to take over.
What fills our nostrils is the smell of fresh cut clover!
What we are given is a second chance and an opt-out from despair.
Trust triumphs over fear that is pushed away when we know God cares.
Faith and trust beyond us is the remedy for pushing away poverty.
With it comes the strength to truly believe all is well in prosperity.
In our weakness we need to separate ourselves from those without faith inside.
If we do not, then fear will override and faith will subside.
What comes to mind is the temptation of Christ when He hungered those 40 days.
The dark one chose that time to test the Divine to make Jesus his finest prey.
It is at this point that we need to choose to not give in and settle for the least.
Push aside all the doubt that is thrown your way and be prepared for God's feast!
Make fear an unwanted guest and push it out the door.
Know in your heart that you deserve so much more!
Do not forget that thanksgiving is required for this meal's dessert.
When we are grateful for our blessings we rid ourselves of all hurt.
