How to Add Text to an JPG Image
- 1). Open your photo editing program. How you open programs will depend on your operating system. On Windows 7, click the round Windows icon in your bottom tool bar but other Windows versions require you click the "Start" icon in your bottom tool bar. Click "All Programs" and click on your editing program to launch it.
- 2). Open the JPEG image. Click the program's "File" menu and browse to your image. Double-click the image to open it in your program.
- 3). Click your program's "Text" tool. A "T" or an "A" in the program's tool menu in Microsoft, Adobe and Macromedia programs designates the text tool but your program may be different.
- 4). Click on the image where you want to insert the text. This will open a text box on the image. Some programs open a "Text Editor" window where you will select your text parameters.
- 5). Type your text.
- 6). Select your font color, size and typeface. Click "OK."
