Barbara Tucker: It makes me feel good, do you know why? Because it wasn't politics and let's face it - I work hard. I'm not trying to be funny but it's about time. I'm out there working hard ? its been nonstop since I started and as a choreographer, as a live performer, as someone who really gives my all, as somebody who uses background singers and musicians and all of this - I'm not bragging, I think it's about time.

I get that from a lot of people, saying it's about time.
RS: Everyone loves you.
Barbara Tucker: Thank you. I recently went to Geneva, Switzerland and a club gave me an award for the song and we're going to the Portugal House Music Award show April 20th, and we're actually told that there's a really good chance that we'll win that too.

RS: Global girl. Talk about doing global, how is the new album coming along?
Barbara Tucker: It's coming along. Because I'm so focused sometimes on so many other artists, sometimes my stuff might move slowly. When this conference coming around, I'm really focused on the party for showcasing other artists and someone said why don't you do your album with the next showcase? So that's what I'm going to do on the 27th, at Madiba on Bay off of 18th - from five to 10 p.m. The album is coming along. I let some people hear it and some think it's a classic-y sound. I just tell them I have to be me. I can't say well let me go with this sound because this sound is happening right now.

I'm an artist and I want to be able to sing this if I want ten years from now, not some hyper madness track that I won't be album to perform when I am ten years older and got to be jumping up and going real crazy.

RS: When I heard you perform in New York, "Love Vibration" really spoke to me.
Barbara Tucker: Oh I love that song, that's going to be my first release.

RS: Awesome. Did you write that song?
Barbara Tucker: Yes, I did. I write ninety-nine percent of my songs.

RS: That's refreshing. What was in your mind when you wrote Love Vibration?
Barbara Tucker: Because people always talk and say 'I love you,' but talk is cheap. Talk is a lie, and can be a façade to me when people say I love you. Love is an action word, so if you can't feel the vibration and if you can't feel and see what they're doing without them having to say I love you, then I don't know if you really should believe them. I learned years ago from Oprah Winfrey, who said love is an action word. Even spiritually with God who gave his only begotten son, he demonstrated love. He never said to the world I love the world, he just demonstrated it. Love is demonstration. So that's why I came up with Love Vibration. Don't listen to what I'm saying, but feel what I'm doing.

RS: And we definitely feel it when you're on stage - we all feel it, that goes without saying.
Barbara Tucker: Thank you.

RS: One more question about the album. I've talked to other artists about this when they work on their solo albums. As a singer you're often in demand to sing on sing on this producer's album and this person's single, but when you try to get the producers to work on your project, it's like pulling teeth. Have you experienced that also?
Barbara Tucker: Well many different producers send me music and if I like it, I write to it at that moment, so it goes a little faster. Now I do know that David Morales wants to do a mix on Love Vibration because he heard me perform it, so I'm patient with him because I'm excited. We go way back and it's going to be an honor because this is the first time he and I, outside of me maybe booking him years ago at the Underground Network, have had a chance to work on that level. And what an honor for me to perform and him saying where's that record - I want to do a mix on that. That's what I love. So I don't really want to say I pull teeth from anybody, but I'm patient and I'm learning to be patient. If I can't get this from this person, then I'm gong to move to the next track because I write like that. I get tracks and my husband's a producer, so I know how to move on to something else until that other situation goes through.

RS: Awesome. I've got one last question for you. Is there anything you want to say to all your fans out there?
