Starring Russell Crowe and written and directed by Paul Haggis, this is a thriller adapted from the French film Anything for Her (2008), little seen in the US. John (Crowe) is a community college educator who particularly enjoys teaching Don Quixote. But out of the blue his wife Laura (Elizabeth Banks) is convicted of murdering her boss and jailed for three years while she loses every legal appeal.
Convinced of his wife's innocence, John plans and implements an elaborate scheme to break his wife out of prison and escape with her and their six-year-old son to a foreign country.
