How to Landscape With Sandstone Rocks
- 1). Place sandstone pebbles around your plants as a mulch. Rock mulches are durable and long-lasting. Add a layer of landscape fabric beneath the rock to help control weeds and to keep the rock from burying into the soil over time.
- 2). Line the edges your flower beds, walkways and driveways with sandstone bricks or boulders. Large chunks of rock show distinctive texture and color and can add interest to these areas of your property. Rock edging will also protect sensitive grass from vehicular damage.
- 3). Place a single, large boulder or a cluster of rocks as a focal point in your landscape. Large rocks add to the natural feel of your surroundings.
