How to Create a Web-Based Calendar

    • 1). Make your own Web-based calendar with the help of American Greetings' online calendar creation utility. Using a free American Greetings account, you build a calendar using the "Holiday" or "Family" calendar, or you can create a standard calendar. American Greetings' calendars use symbolic icons to represent events on your calendar and event notifications can be receive via email, text messages or desktop alerts. American Greeting's calendars also support printing in case you need a physical copy of your calendar.

    • 2). Create a web-based calendar using Calendars.Net's, a free calendar hosting website. Using Calendars.Net, you won't even need to sign up for an account to create a Web-base calendar--simply name your calendar and specify it's dimensions, fonts and other parameters. You can set your calendar to stay active on Calendar.Net's servers for up to 12 years. And after you've created your calendar, you can print it, export it to text or simply access it online.

    • 3). Sign up for a free Google Calendar account to create a calendar that you can maintain online. Google's Calendar features days and times, and allows you to drag colored overlays across days or time periods to signify the duration of events--Google calendar can also send up text or email alerts to notify you of events. Calendars can be toggled between "Day," "Week," "Month" and "4-Day" formats. You can print your calendar or sync them with Microsoft Outlook, Apple iCal or Mozilla Thunderbird.
