In order to improve your home security and avoid having to take someone to the hospital with a scald or a burn injury, make sure to keep flammable objects and products stored safely in fire resistant containers where small children can not get their hands on them.

Poisoning is another big safety concern for homeowners, especially those who have small children. You of course want to keep medicine in childproof containers and keep these containers locked away in cabinets and cupboards that are out of reach of small children. But children are not the only ones at risk of being poisoned. Carbon monoxide gas can be a silent but deadly killer, and it does not discriminate based on age. For this reason, it is important to keep everyone in the house safe from this type of poisoning by installing a home alarm that includes a carbon monoxide detector.
