  Swimming camps offer an opportunity for young swimmers to receive individual and group instruction that can improve competitive swimming performance. Camps are typically in the summer; they are held over the course of several days and often provide room and board, as well as group activities. North Dakota has a selection of summer swimming camps.
  
  

University of North Dakota

• The University of North Dakota (UND) in Grand Forks, North Dakota hosts a summer swimming camp for boys and girls ages 8 through 18. The lead instructor for the camp is Steve Parsons, head swimming coach for the UND men's and women's swim teams. The five-day camp provides supervised housing on the UND campus and all-you-can-eat meals, although participants can choose to attend just for the swim instruction and commute to the campus each day. This camp is not intended for beginning swimmers, as all swimmers are expected to already know how to do the breast stroke, butterfly, back stroke and freestyle.

Dakota Pride

• The Minot Swim Club of Minot, North Dakota is the host of the Dakota Pride Swim Camp, held over the course of four days in the summer at the Magic City Campus High School. Swimmers are provided meals, lodging and evening group activities at the University of Minot dorms. The camp is for boys and girls at least 11 years of age, although younger swimmers are permitted to observe afternoon pool instruction.

Best Darn Swim Camp

• The Best Darn Swim Camp in West Fargo, North Dakota features swim instruction with Coach Milt Nelms, considered by some to be one of the world's foremost authorities on swimming technique. The camp is open to boys and girls at least 11 years of age, but swimmers must be registered with USA Swimming. This is a day camp, so room and board are not provided. Swimming instruction is held at the LE Berger Pool in West Fargo.
