Things To Take Camping - You Don"t Want To Leave Anything Behind
Thinking of going on a camping adventure for the first time? Or perhaps you have been on a camping trip a few times, but always seem to be forgetting something.
Or maybe you have been on many camping adventures, and in need of new tips and ideas for things to take camping with you.
I have been camping for many years and have had to rethink my camping list many times over the years.
When I first started to go on camping trips as a leisure activity, I had no idea what to bring on the trip, other than things that just made sense to me.
Needless to say, what made sense to me was not everything that I needed for a comfortable and fun trip.
I failed to think of comfort, convenience, safety, or even leisure activities needed to make my camping trip both comfortable and fun.
I ended up spending more time working to make my stay comfortable, than the time I spent having fun.
By doing this, I was defeating the purpose of getting out of the hustle and bustle of the city, and going for a relaxing time in the wilderness.
I probably ended up doing more physical labor then I do in my day-to-day life.
I did not think about the extra comfort needed for sleeping.
Having only a sleeping bag to sleep in the tent with can make for rough times.
Having some type of comfort item to be placed under my sleeping bag is what I should have brought along.
I also did not think about ensuring meals, setting things up at camp, and all the needs and wants for the camping trip in general is made as convenient as possible.
It is also possible to over pack.
I found this out the hard way.
Over packing ended up costing me more time and money then necessary.
This is why it is important to make a list on things to take camping.
After my first experience, I realized that if I just did a little research and got more input from people that have gone on frequent camping trips I would not face a problem like this again.
I would be provided with all the tips on things to take camping, as well as ideas on making sure that comfort, convenience, safety, and fun are all taken into consideration.
After a couple unsuccessful camping trips, I also made a promise to myself that I would not go on another camping trip until I was well informed to have a successful camping trip.
