This butterfly garden is open year-round. The official website states the only days the museum is not in operation are New Year's Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. As of October 2010, hours of operation are weekdays 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.. - As of October 2010, admission to the Notebaert Museum Butterfly Garden is $9 for adults, $7 for seniors and students and $6 for children ages 3-12. Children under three are free. Group rates are available for parties of 10 or more.
- The Judy Istock Butterfly Haven contains more than 1,000 butterflies and 75 exotic species from the southern hemisphere. Guests view butterflies in a 2,700-square-foot greenhouse. Other attractions include exotic birds, ponds, flowers and trees.
