How to Use Windows Password Reset
- 1). Download Windows Password Reset (see Resources). Pay with a credit card or debit card. As of 2010, the price for the software is $19.95. Follow the setup wizard to install the program. Restart your computer.
- 2). Double-click the program to run it. Insert a blank CD or DVD into your computer's disk drive. Click "Burn" to start burning the program to your CD or DVD. Remove the CD or DVD when complete.
- 3). Restart your computer. Press F2, Delete or F10 to enter your BIOS Setup. Choose "Boot" on the taskbar. Select "Boot Device Priority" and press "Enter."
- 4). Select "Boot Device from CD ROM."
- 5). Restart your computer. Insert the burned CD or DVD into your computer's disk drive.
- 6). Enter the number that corresponds to the installation path of Windows. It will display all of your user names. Enter the number that corresponds to your user name.
- 7). Enter "Y" to confirm and continue. Enter "Y" to reset other passwords, or enter "N" to finish. Press any key to restart the computer and eject your CD or DVD. You will now be able to log into Windows without a password.
- 8). Click "Start" and "Control Panel." Select the "User Accounts and Family Safety" option. Select "Change Your Windows Password" and "Create a Password."
