REFLECTIONS BY JILL for December 27, 2006
< Continued from page 1
Lots of people were talking about the upcoming kiss between Viki and Clint, so let?s get to it. You know I?m not a big fan of a Viki/Clint pairing and that hasn?t changed. I didn?t think the kiss was any big deal to write home about. After all, it was just a little peck, but even to those of us who don?t think Clint is worthy of Viki, I will say that Viki definitely did initiate that little peck when she walked Clint to the door, looked up in disappointment and mentioned that no one had noticed the mistletoe.
Of course, Clint couldn?t NOT kiss her at that point (and I?m sure he didn?t mind doing it), but after he left she did have that expression on her face like, ?Hmmm, what was that and did I like it?? I?m not in favor of this third time around and with Clint?s feelings for Dorian in the mix I think it?s way beneath Viki to even be involved in a so-called battle with Dorian over any man, let alone Clint.
Do we care about Vincent?s building burning down? Do we care about Vincent at all? I don?t. And I think that if we?re going to have an on again/off again thug/nice guy thing going on with this character, I?d much rather we get RJ back where he belongs. I think Vincent is a very poor replacement for RJ and the whole bit with him going at it with the police is so ?been there done that with RJ.? RJ?s character is so much deeper and we all miss him too much to accept another character dealing with the same issues.
And I don?t like Vincent?s intentions at all where Natalie is concerned. He had a lot of nerve coming to John for help when he couldn?t get satisfaction at the police station, when all the time he?s got designs on John?s woman.
This guy has to go. I hope Layla stays far away from him, too.
It was great to see John sitting up and starting to get back to himself a little bit. Of course now that they will be moving him back to Llanview Hospital he can go after Spencer and if you?ve seen any of the photos of upcoming scenes on this website, you know that?s exactly what he?s going to do. Hey, I?ll be cheering him on.
And I?ve waited along time to say this, but I love the new relationship between Natalie and John. He sure has changed, that?s for sure. My mouth fell open in shock when the nurse came in to give him some pain medication and he argued and argued that he wasn?t going to take it, no way, no how. Natalie bugged him so much to take it that I thought he was going to throw her out of the room but he finally gave in and took the medication with a little smirk and I thought, ?Uh-oh, another alien has invaded and taken over one of Llanview?s men. I love the fact that even though John?s first impulse is to be independent and stubborn, he never forgets that he?s happy and lucky to have this second chance and he doesn?t forget to tell Natalie how he feels. What a refreshing thing to watch. It?s funny to watch him getting used to the new relationship and his face was a riot when she called him ?Babe? and he turned around and mouthed, ?Babe?? I waited a long time to see those little things and I am really enjoying them. Needless to say I really enjoyed his gift to Natalie when he gave her that planner and marked a special date for them to have dinner at the palace and told her it wouldn?t be just a regular dinner. He knows she hoped to get the engagement ring back and I love the fact that he let her know it would happen. It was also very nice that she gave him that medal, the patrol saint of lovers.
