How to Make a Paper Plate Sunflower
- 1). Paint an old toilet paper roll with green craft paint and set it off to the side to dry.
- 2). Trace two of your child's hand-prints onto each sheet of the yellow construction paper for a total of 6 hand-prints.
- 3). Cut out each of the six hand prints using scissors.
- 4). Glue the six hand-prints onto the front of the paper plate with the fingers pointing out. Place the palms of the hand-prints as close to the center of the paper plate, and work your way around the plate gluing each hand-print as you go.
- 5). Apply the beads with glue to the center of your sunflower to make the seeds. Use enough beads to cover any remaining white areas of the paper plate that are showing.
- 6). Use scissors to cut two leaf shapes out of green construction paper.
- 7). Attach the two leaf shapes to the toilet paper roll with glue or tape. Attach them near the center of the center of the toilet paper roll.
- 8). Staple the green painted toilet paper roll to the bottom of the back of the paper plate. This will allow your paper plate sunflower to have a stem.
