How to Grow Firecracker Plant
- 1). Fill each pot about three-fourths of the way with potting soil. Remove a seedling from its tray and loosen the roots with your fingers. Place the seedling in the center of the pot.
- 2). Cover the roots with soil and press down lightly. Water the seedling deeply and drive a small, flower-pot fertilizer spike into the soil. Fertilizer spikes time-release fertilizer for even feeding.
- 3). Place the firecracker seedlings in an area with full sun. In the summer, place the pots outdoors. In the cooler months, place the pots near a large window in a warm room.
- 4). Water the seedling a little each day. Since they grow in tropical areas, they are used to lots of moisture. Change the fertilizer spike every month to ensure good nutrition.
