How to Erase Songs on an iPod Nano
- 1). Plug your iPod Nano into your computer. You will need to use the USB cable that came with your iPod.
- 2). Open iTunes. When you plug in your iPod, the program may open automatically depending on your settings. If it does not, then open it manually.
- 3). Click the "iPod" icon once to highlight it. The icon should appear in the left column of the iTunes window, beneath "Devices." When you click it, your iPod Nano information will appear in the main window.
- 4). Verify that the "Manually manage music and videos" box has a check mark beside it. If not, click the box to add a check.
- 5). Click the small, black triangle to the left of the iPod icon, so that all of your iPod playlists appear below the title in one long list.
- 6). Click the iPod "Library," at the top of the list. A list of your songs will appear in the main window to the right.
- 7). Locate the songs that you want to delete and click them once to highlight them. To highlight multiple songs, hold down the "Shift" key while making your selections.
