Using Vaseline to Cure Constipation in Cats
- 1). Measure out 1/2 teaspoon of Vaseline and give it to your cat to lick from the spoon, making sure your cat gets all the Vaseline. Do this every day for as long as your cat is constipated.
- 2). Wait one hour and feed your cat as you normally would, giving it canned, moist cat food. Moist cat food will help your cat stay more hydrated, which will help it pass stools.
- 3). Replace your cat's dish of water with a water fountain. Most cats drink more water from a fountain than a regular dish of water. The water in combination with the wet food and the Vaseline will help relieve your pet.
