The Nintendo 3DS will be released in just a little over a month from now. In the past several months leading up to the console's launch, a barrage of 3DS games was announced from differnt developers, each claiming to be worth your money. So which ones could really live up to the hype? We've narrowed down a list of top 5 best 3DS games for 2011.

5. Resident Evil: Mercenaries (Summer 2011)
This one had graphics that blew our socks off. If you don't know what Resident Evil is, then you were probably hiding under a rock for the past decade. Make no mistake that Capcom is going to bring it to the 3DS. The ability to team up with a friend online along with all the things we love about Resident Evil, this one is a sure buy.

4. Madden NFL Football (March 2011)
With the Superbowl conclusion this past weekend, this one has to go on our list. Football fans rejoice! Madden is an established franchise that brings all the sports action right on your hands. If you love 3DS and football, then look no further for the best football game this year.

3. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D (Spring 2011)
Our green pointy-eared hero is back! This one is a "remix" of the classic Nintendo 64 game. It was regarded as one of the best Zelda games to ever come out in this world. This version has upgraded charcter models, textures, and animations that will keep your next-gen eyeballs amazed. For those who played the N64 version, this one will take you back to the good ol' days. If you're part of the younger crowd who never played the original, you have no excuse to pass this one up.

2. Super Street Fighter IV 3D (March 2011)
Round 3, FIGHT! Capcom just blasted us with this out of nowhere. Who knew the third SF4 will be on a handheld? Make no mistake. Capcom went all out on this one, and could easily be the best SF4 version to date. Not only does it look just like the Xbox360/PS3 versions, but they added a 3D mode that allows you to fight at a completely new angle. Bundle that in with StreetPass connectivity, and you got yourself fighting game of the year!

1. Kid Icarus Uprising (Summer 2011)
Remember that little kid with wings during the 8-bit NES era? Well, he's back and ready to kick some major tail in Kid Icarus Uprising. For the first time in decades, Pit, the main character, gets his own game where he's not "brawling" with other Nintendo mascots. Uprising has some of the best 3D effects we've seen on the console. In this game, we control Pit to take on baddies on land and air in non-stop action. We'd get a 3DS just for this game alone! Yes, it's that good.
