How to Troubleshoot an Innovage Digital Photo Viewer Keychain that Will Not Connect

104 9
    • 1). Install the latest version of the software for your keychain. Go to the Innovage customer care website (see link in Resources) and click "Digital Photo Keychain." Right-click the "Download" link for either the Mac or PC version of the software (depending on your machine) and click "Save." Once the file has downloaded, double-click to unzip and open the "Setup" file. Installing this software will allow you to proceed with the troubleshooting process.

    • 2). Charge the device by connecting it to the USB port on your computer. Press the "Power" button and wait for a blue screen to display on the device, then use the keychain's side buttons to select "USB Charge." Leave the device alone for seven hours to fully charge the battery. If you do not see a blue screen after pressing the "Power" button, the keychain's battery may be too low even to display this screen; wait an hour for the charge to build, then try again.

    • 3). Unplug and reconnect the device and press "Power" again. This time, use the keychain's side buttons to select "USB Update." This will reset the synchronization between your keychain and computer, fixing connection problems.

    • 4). Load the device with pictures. Your images may not be showing up on the keychain if incorrectly loaded; this can be fixed by opening the "Photoviewer" program from your desktop "Applications" folder or the "Programs" section of the "Start" menu. Drag and drop photos into the "Photoviewer" program, adding all pictures to be viewed on the keychain before transferring them. Once the "Photoviewer" window contains all images you wish to add, hit the "Synchronize" button to transfer. Wait for the progress bar to fill before disconnecting your keychain.

    • 5). Prevent battery errors by recharging the device after loading it with photos. Reconnect via USB and select "USB Charge." Wait until the light on the side of the device glows green before disconnecting.
