The deaf community is a diverse community. Within the deaf community are several smaller communities. These smaller communities represent every ethnicity, religious faiths, and lifestyles.

African American Deaf People
Information about organizations for deaf African Americans, books about deaf African Americans, and deaf African American people.

Asian American Deaf People
Information about organizations for deaf Asian Americans, deaf Asian American people, and articles about deaf Asian Americans.

Deaf and Hard of Hearing Muslims
The growing number of Muslims includes an expanding number of deaf Muslims.

Deaf Senior Citizens
Deaf senior citizens have their own organizations, retirement communities, and nursing homes or hospice services.

Gay and Lesbian Deaf People

Hispanic American Deaf People
The expanding Hispanic (Latino) deaf community has its own organizations and conferences. There is also an increasing amount of informational resources targeted at the deaf Hispanic community.

Jewish Deaf Community

Native American Deaf People
The deaf Native American community has a national organization, but little information is otherwise available about this community.
