How to Fix an Acer Aspire Computer
- 1). Use System Restore to restore your computer to an earlier state. This can be particularly valuable if your Acer Aspire starts acting up right after the installation of a new piece of hardware or software. To start System Restore, click on "Start" and choose "All Programs," then "Accessories," then "System Restore." Choose a restore point to take your computer back in time.
- 2). Start your computer in Safe Mode if it is not starting properly in normal mode. To start in Safe Mode, repeatedly tap the "F8" key as the computer is booting up. Choose "Safe Mode" from the boot menu and hit "Enter."
- 3). Remove each piece of hardware that is attached to the computer, testing the PC after each piece of hardware has been disconnected. If one of the pieces of hardware is causing a conflict, you can determine which one it is by removing each piece of hardware one at a time.
