How to Spot Signs and Symptoms of Sleep Apnea
- 1). Sleepiness during the day time is a common symptom of sleep apnea.
- 2). Excessive snoring is almost always associated with sleep apnea.
- 3). Waking in the morning and still feeling unrested is a possible symptom of sleep apnea. If you feel that you are tired or having memory problems, you may suffer from sleep apnea.
- 4). Waking up several times to urinate during the night is a sign.
- 5). Not breathing while you sleep or having episodes of apnea can mean you need to take a visit to the sleep clinic.
- 6). Restless tossing and turning during your sleep can be a sign of sleep apnea as well.
- 7). Children may have enlarged tonsils or adenoids that can link to sleep apnea. Loud snoring and restless sleep may indicate a trip to the ENT.
- 8). A CPAP, or continuous positive airway pressure, machine may be used to help during sleep. Your doctor have other treatment options available.
