Great Games for Kids on Wii
- Mario Kart Wii
Mario Kart Wii provides a fun racing experience for all kids. The game features many characters, including Mario, Luigi, Donkey Kong, Princess Peach and Wario racing and battling across legendary tracks such as Rainbow Road and Bowser's Castle. The included Wii Wheel snaps onto the Wii Remote, allowing players to steer with great precision--and with simplified control for any youth. - Mario Super Sluggers
Mario and friends aren't just racing onto the Wii, they're hitting the baseball diamond as well. Mario Super Sluggers puts several enhancements onto Wii Sports Baseball, with plenty of Mario characters and crazy items. You can snap in the Nunchuk for added controls, but for kids, no worries: the Wii Remote on its own works just fine. - Rayman Raving Rabbids
While the Wii has become a hotbed for mini-game compilations, one of the best was also one of the first. Rayman Raving Rabbids introduced those lovable scamps that have since gone onto two more sequels, but this is still the best in the franchise due to a great story mode and spot-on controls. Nutty games like the Cow Hammer Throw and dancing games will keep kids on their toes, and the rail shooting levels are fun without the violence--Rayman takes on the Rabbids with a plunger gun. - de Blob
Set in a strange world where the evil INKT Corporation is sucking the color out of Chroma City, a hero known as "de Blob" must re-colorize the town. Controlling de Blob with the Nunchuk, players use the Wii Remote to paint in different colors, adding new layers to the town and painting various landmarks to continue through the game. Feature simple controls and great graphics, this is an absolute gem. - Boom Blox
Boom Blox may be the best party game on the Wii. Co-developed by legendary director Steven Spielberg, Boom Blox features extremely simple controls and fun puzzles that can be easily solved by any adult or child. You can also create your own levels, topple massive structures, and play with a friend. For added fun, also check out the sequel, Boom Blox Bash Party.
