    Transfer Wireless Phone Service

    • 1). Visit the AT&T Wireless homepage and log in to your AT&T myWireless Account.

    • 2). Click the "Support" tab from the menu atop the page.

    • 3). Click "More Phone/Device Support" link underneath the "More Phone/Device Support" section.

    • 4). Click "Transfer Your Phone" from the ensuing link list.

    • 5). Fill out the Transfer of Billing Responsibility online form and click "Accept & Check Eligibility" when you are done.

    Transfer Landline Phone Service

    • 1). Call your local AT&T customer service representative. Click the "Contact Us" link on AT&T's website and enter your landline number or ZIP code to get the appropriate customer service number if you do not already have it on hand (See Resources).

    • 2). Inform the AT&T customer service representative that you want to transfer your landline service to a new customer. Wait for the AT&T customer service representative to request more information about the transfer.

    • 3). Give the AT&T customer service representative any additional information about the new customer, including the person's name and address. Business customers will have to have both parties--the current and intended new customer--on the line at the same time with the AT&T customer service representative. In either case, the AT&T customer service representative will perform the service transfer, remove your personal information from the account and add the new customer's.
