Putting Yips - How to Confidently Sink the Dreaded Downhill 4 Foot Putt Easily Every Time With Ease

103 228
It's looks like the easiest shot in golf, but that nasty little downhill short putt can leave you panicked and sweaty as you set up.
If you miss you will be kicking yourself as your ball rolls helplessly past the hole and scurries on away to the other side of the green.
It's a horrible feeling knowing you have to sink a short putt while everyone watches on.
Most golfers dread the downhill short putt and rightly call it the most hated shot in golf.
The problem is it just looks a little too easy, but if you miss you know the consequences are dire.
You psych yourself out and start thinking negatively before you take the shot.
Your mind is racing at 1000 miles per hour as you imagine every possible outcome except the one you want - sinking the ball into the hole.
The trick to avoiding this is simple.
You need to develop a solid consistent pre-shot routine.
One that you know gives you the best possible chance of putting your ball every time.
As you step up for the putt concentrate on your set up and positioning.
Focus on the way the green rolls and where you want the ball to give.
Decide on the speed you want to hit the putt once you determine it's line.
Then relax, take a deep breath and rehearse a few practice strokes all the time imagining exactly where your ball will go.
Once your ready you need to use the correct putting stroke.
