Operation Game Costume
This costume idea was inspired by suggestions sent in by Kayla.
Materials Needed:
Instructions:
Use a real operation game as your pattern ( find a picture here).
The leotard or sweatsuit will be the patient's "body". Use red fabric paint to draw the body part "compartments". Make sure you place some cardboard or heavy paper inside the garment so the paint does not bleed through. Set the painted body aside to dry.
Now, you can cut the game pieces out of white craft foam. Also cut the same number of 1-inch hook and loop pieces. Stick a 1-inch piece of loop tape onto the back of each game piece. Once the paint is dry, stick a 1-inch piece of hook tape onto the center of each red body part compartment you painted. Stick the craft foam game pieces onto the appropriate compartments of the costume. If you like, you can also write the name of each body part onto the craft pieces.
Finally, tie a piece of yarn or string onto the tweezers and attach it to the shoulder of the costume using a safety pin. Also, don't forget to put on the light-up nose! Bring along some cards from the real operation game if you like and challenge everyone to a game!
