How to Identify a Philips Universal Remote
- 1). Verify that you are using a Philips brand universal remote. Philips brand remotes have the company's name underneath the remote's buttons.
- 2). Press and hold the "Code Search" button until the red light at the top of the remote turns on.
- 3). Release the "Code Search" button. The red light should stay on.
- 4). Power on the device you are programming to identify the Philips universal remote.
