How to Wash a Quest Mummy Sleeping Bag
- 1). Inspect the sleeping bag. Remove dirt and other particles with the soft-bristled brush.
- 2). Unlatch any zippers and buttons found on the sleeping bag.
- 3). Fill your bathtub with enough water to submerge the sleeping bag. Then, add a few tablespoons of the liquid dish soap and one cup of white vinegar into the tub.
- 4). Put on the cleaning gloves. Then, place your hands into the solution and use them to work the cleaning solution throughout the surface of the bag. Do this for a few minutes.
- 5). Soak the bag for 15 to 30 minutes. Then empty the tub.
- 6). Rinse the sleeping bag thoroughly with lukewarm water from the tub's faucet or the shower. Then lay the bag on the bottom of the tub.
- 7). Press down on the bag to eliminate excess water. Flip the bag over to the opposite side. Press down on the bag again to eliminate any remaining excess liquid.
- 8). Hang the bag outside on a clothes line or on a pole, such as a shower rod, inside of a well-ventilated room. Do not put the sleeping bag away until it's completely dry, or else you risk mold and mildew appearing on or inside the bag.
