San Diego has a diverse population, including may Christians, and church groups have a long history of organizing activities. People of like-minded faith often enjoy socializing, and in larger cities you can find many activities organized by and for Christians. San Diego has a great selection of Christian events suitable for families, friends or singles. - The Christian Community Theater, or CCT, is a company that traces its roots back to a garage in 1980. A simple production of "The Sound of Music" that was meant to provide an opportunity for local Christian actors to perform has grown into the largest community theater in the city. CCT is famous for their show "Traditions of Christmas." This production has become a local favorite, and is in its 18th year. The core concept of the show remains constant year after year. It celebrates the traditions and music of Christmas around the world. The company updates the show every year to ensure there is always something new. Those who have been coming back for years are able to see new scenes and hear new songs.
CCT also operates Christian Youth Theatre, an after-school arts training program for children which has expanded from its San Diego roots to become the largest theater organization for children in the United States. - San Diego is known for having a great music scene, including Christian music. The city regularly hosts a number of Christian concerts across major music venues.
Some churches in the city have sermons which strongly incorporate music, such as the The Rock Church. This church also hosts events and concerts at their facility throughout the year. The organization holds events throughout the year including meetings which feature a variety of speakers on topics relating to faith and business. The group also features an annual Christmas social.

Singles Serve organizes group volunteer activities for Christian singles. It organizes events at fundraisers, cleanups, Habitat for Humanity builds, and food banks to provide Christian singles with an opportunity to mingle while making a difference in their community.
