    Monthly Cleaning Recommendations

    • 1). Unplug the machine's power cable from the electrical socket. Empty the ice from the ice bin. Fill a sink with warm water and mild detergent.

    • 2). Remove the component parts of the ice bin. Simply unscrew the knurled fasteners. Clean the paddle wheel, wheel pin, ice chute, agitator, rear bushings, motor shaft and strip lids using a soft brush and the detergent solution. Wash off any soap residue from the component parts with running water.

    • 3). Wash the inside of the ice bin and lid with the detergent solution and a sponge. Rinse the ice bin and lid under running water to remove detergent residue. Apply a sanitizing solution to the ice bin and cold plate containing 5.25-percent sodium hypochlorite and less than 100 parts per million of chlorine, according to the sanitizing solution manufacturer's instructions.

    • 4). Fasten the ice bin's component parts back into position once the sanitizing solution evaporates from the ice bin and cold plate. Replenish the ice bin with new ice and secure the lid. Reconnect the machine's power cable plug into an electrical socket.
