How to Post My Resume for a Job
- 1). Take your completed resume on your computer, preferably in .doc format and make sure it follows the correct resume formatting guidelines.
- 2). Save your resume as a .doc file with your name and the word resume in the save title. This way, there is no confusion at the job site about who's resume file the employer is opening.
- 3). Go onto the Internet, and find the job site at which you want to apply, whether it's monsterjobs.com, yahoojobs.com, craigslist.com or a company's website, and find the application link. Fill out all the necessary information in the application on the web page.
- 4). Take your resume which you've saved as a .doc file and click on the button that says "Upload Resume." Most job sites will have this button. Find your file in the display box on your computer. Click OK, and make sure the file gets uploaded onto the site. The website should give you confirmation of the completed upload.
