If you use a PC, you will need to run Windows XP with Service Pack 2 or later, or any edition of Windows Vista. If you do not meet the minimum system requirements, you will need to upgrade before you can access your iPhone in iTunes.

    • 4). Restart your iPhone. If the problem lies within the iPhone software, you can sometimes fix the problem by rebooting the device. Press and hold the "Home" and "Sleep" buttons simultaneously until the device restarts. You will find these buttons on the front of your iPhone and at at the top of your iPhone, respectively.
