How to Remove WGA.exe

    • 1). Press the "Ctrl," "Alt" and "Delete" buttons together to open the Windows "Task Manager." Click the "Processes" tab.

    • 2). Scroll down and click "WgaTray." Click "End Process."

    • 3). Restart your computer and press the "F8" key repeatedly before you see the Windows logo. This will bring you to the Windows "Options" menu. Select "Safe Mode" and press "Enter."

    • 4). Double click "My Computer" on the desktop and double click the "C:" drive. Double click the "Windows" folder and double click "System32." Locate WgaTray.exe and delete it.

    • 5). Double click the "dllcache." Locate the other "WgaTray.exe" file and delete it.

    • 6). Click the "Start" button and click "Run." Type "regedit" and press "Enter" to open the registry window.

    • 7). Click the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" folder on the left panel and click "Software." Click "Microsoft" and click "Windows NT." Click "CurrentVersion" and click "Winlogon." Click "Notify." Right click the "WgaLogon" folder and click "Delete."

    • 8). Restart your computer and boot normally.
