How to Put on Scary Facepaint
- 1). Shave a man's face to make sure the makeup goes on more smoothly.
- 2). Rub the entire face with a cotton ball covered in rubbing alcohol, paying special attention to the hairline.
- 3). Place a few cups of baby powder into a clean white sock. This will be used to set the makeup after it is applied.
- 4). Put long hair into a ponytail.
- 5). Place the latex cap over the head.
- 6). Lift the front edge of the cap and cover it with spirit gum adhesive. Allow the spirit gum adhesive a minute to set properly.
- 7). Pull the latex cap back over the forehead and the ears.
- 8). Leave the cap to dry in place for three to five minutes.
- 9). Lift the back edge of the cap and cover it with spirit gum. Repeat the setting and drying steps.

Cover the entire face, top of the head, back of the head, and the neck with white clown makeup. You can use your fingers or a makeup sponge. - 11
Gently pat the entire white area with your hand or a piece of wadded cloth to even out any streaks. - 12
Set the makeup with the sock filled with baby powder by lighting tapping it all over the makeup covered area. Brush away any leftover powder with a soft brush. - 13
Place large black rings over and around both eyes with a small makeup brush. - 14
Add a few black cracks around the eyes with the makeup brush. - 15
Cover the lower half of the nose with the black paint. - 16
Cover the lips with black paint, creating cracks going up from the upper lip and down from the lower. - 17
Gently smudge the make up around the hair line to make the crease less noticeable. - 18
Apply one final coat of baby powder in the same fashion. Get into costume.
