Immersing Your Heart Into Creativity

103 12
Have you ever been mostly annoyed or even angry with someone and told them you loved them?Do you think that person was really feeling loved at that moment?Your energy was saying something different than your words.
This principle can be applied to whatever you do in your life.
If you like to write, sketch, play music, whatever your heart's desire, if you do these things with less than your full attention, the outcome will not be as good.
You can add an incredible boost to your creativity when you immerse your heart into something you enjoy doing.
For example, remember when you first loved someone? You did not just say you loved that person, you put your whole body, mind and spirit into the expression of the love you were feeling.
Your eyes sparkled, your heart jumped, your energy soared.
As a result of that energy, the person you loved could really feel it on a deeper level.
Giving your heart over to your creativity will allow you to achieve better results.
To feel the sensation of elation and inspiration filling your heart requires more than just using your eyes, ears, or being hands on with a creative project.
Allow the love to flow through you and into what you are creating.
A grandmother's crocheted baby blanket is more than just a pile of yarn.
When I was a child and would receive letters from my grandmother, it was always a treat because she would draw flowers and other little things on the envelope.
I could almost feel the love she put into her little doodles because she was sending a beloved granddaughter all of her love.
Being creative is always better if you are enjoying what you're doing.
It takes a little more work to conjure up joy for something you don't particularly care about.
If you want to be fully creative, then apply this immersion technique with something you already enjoy.
Fully immerse yourself in the creativity.
Don't dwell on daily frustrations, stress or worries.
Let those go because you can always pick them back up later, but for now put them aside and focus on creating something from the heart.
Feel the joy and love for your creation, whatever it may be.
Put your whole heart into it.
Whatever feelings surface, allow them.
Cry, laugh, sing at the top of your lungs and put that energy into your creation.
If the project seems to be changing in mid stride, go with that as well.
Let go of any ideas about what "should" be and discover what "could" be.
Don't judge your creation.
It came from the heart and there should be no doubts about whether it's good enough.
For that matter, good enough for who or what?Your heart has a beauty all its own and is much wiser than you imagine.
