104 203

    Preferences

    • The Preferences section contains the basic features you need to examine if you're new to cPanel. This includes a Getting Started Wizard to take you step-by-step through using cPanel, video tutorials on every aspect of the program and settings for passwords, contact info and visual style.

    Email Accounts

    • The Email Accounts button allows you to add new email addresses to your domain. The number of accounts you're allowed depends on your host and hosting plan. Other features in this section include forwarding preferences, allowing you to set another email address to receive all incoming email, mailing lists to allow you to email multiple recipients at once and a facility to manage automated responses. You also enable and disable Spam Assassin, for monitoring and preventing junk email, in this section.

    Partners

    • Click any icon in the Partners section to see and implement a variety of tools to help you manage your website. These features are third-party, so you will need to sign up to each service. Conversion Tracking helps you monitor and analyze visitor activity from a revenue perspective. SEO Tools help you optimize your site to get higher rankings in search engines such as Google, Yahoo! and Bing.

    Files

    • The Files section is where you upload and manage your content. In the File Manager, you can see a list of files and folders, and you can upload directly to it from your PC. Web Disk allows you to install a permanent folder on your computer desktop from which to manage files without logging in to cPanel. You also monitor your disk space usage from here.

    Other Features

    • Add domains, create subdomains and redirect domains from the list of options under the Domains section. Manage and install MySQL and PHP databases in the Databases section. Access statistics, such as bandwidth and storage in the sidebar of your cPanel. You can also see a list of frequently used areas here, for handy access, and search for specific functions. For more information on features and how to use them, links to user documentation and help resources are at the bottom of cPanel.
