LEGAL POSITION OF PURCHASE OF PROPERTY BY FOREIGN NATIONALS IN TURKEY

It has been reliant on serious discussion among the real estate agents and the foreign nationals in Turkey who wish to invest some funds in Turkey for buying some Property for sale in Turkey. 3) Another important restriction is that foreigners usually are not permitted to buy any property in villages.

During the 69 year period from 1934 to the year 2003, once the earlier land law of year 1934 was in force, 37342 transactions of property for sale in Turkey had taken place in which foreign nationals were involved. Out of this 2400 transactions were with Syrians. 15842 property transactions happened through the 2 year period from 2003 to 2005 once the land law of the season 2003 remained valid. These transactions were taken place one of the citizens of 58 different countries. 8625 British people and 3482 Germans formed the main area of the foreign personals who have been involved in these transactions.

The states which were preferred by foreign nationals for purchasing the Property in Turkey were Fethiye, Alanya,, Didim, Bodrum, Kusadasi along the coast, etc. Germans and Scandinavians preferred Alanya where by the British were satisfied with Fethiye and Didim Reuters Istanbul - in Turkish.
