Removing Coffee Stains From Your Carpet

There are many home remedies for eradicating stains from carpets.
Coffee stains are a burden to many people, and how to remove them from a carpet or rug seems to be a frequent question.
In this article, I will outline a great method for removing coffee stains from your carpet.
Some of the ingredients in these stain removers are things you have in your kitchen cupboards already.
If you don't, they are inexpensive to purchase.
You need white wine vinegar, soda water, baking powder or a mild detergent.
You'll also need warm or hot water, a bowl and 3 thick, dry cloths.
First, make sure you soak up the excess as soon as possible.
Don't allow the stain to dry because set stains are much more difficult to remove.
Blot the area with a clean and dry cloth; making sure all the excess coffee is soaked up.
Be sure not to rub the area back and forth, as that will just spread the stain around and embed it deeper into the carpet fibers.
Just press down onto the stained area and hold tight, squeezing for while so the coffee can be directly and instantly soaked up into the cloth.
Start with the edges of the stain and work your way into the center so the stained area does not spread outwards and is unable to grow and become a bigger problem.
Take a cup of hot water and mix it with a teaspoon of mild dishwashing detergent.
Carefully apply this to the stain.
Make sure you apply the solution directly onto the stain and not working outwards.
Using a spray bottle to apply the solution, if available, is a great way to target a specific area of the carpet without the threat of spreading the stain.
Make sure you're making the stained area damp and not soaked.
With another absorbent cloth, continue to blot the area as you did before, now taking up as much of the detergent and water solution as possible.
Now, in a large bowl, mix 2/3 cup hot water with 1/3 cup of white vinegar.
Lightly dab at the stained area with the solution, and blot with another clean and dry absorbent cloth.
Soda water and baking soda are also great ingredients for cleaning coffee stains out of carpets.
Using the same method as described above, replace the white vinegar with soda water or baking powder.
If the coffee stained has been allowed to dry and set, you may need the help of a professional steam cleaner.
Steam cleaning forces an intense burst of steam onto the carpet.
When the heat and steam are applied, it dampens and loosens the stain, making it possible for it to be removed.
