Natural Grass Killer Ingredients
- Bleach solutions will kill grass in a few days by changing the pH balance of the soil, making it unsustainable for grass. Bleach quickly converts to plain table salt, which leaches out and leaves no residue behind in the next rain or heavy watering.
- Vinegar is a traditional plant killer. It dries out the plants, depriving them of the water they need to survive. Common cooking or eating vinegar is not strong enough to do a throrough job. Pickling vinegar is about twice as strong and, if mixed with lemon juice or orange oil, is purported to do a better job.
- Bleach and vinegar in strong concentrations are dangerous if misused. Always wear eye protection when spraying any plant killer. Wash your hands and any exposed skin immediately after use.
