How to Seed a Pomagranate
- 1). Place the pomegranate onto the plastic cutting board and use the kitchen knife to slice down halfway through the top of the pomegranate.
- 2). Hold the pomegranate over the bowl and use your fingers to pry the pomegranate open the rest of the way. Be sure to hold the fruit down into the bowl to minimize juice splatters.
- 3). Slice the two halves in half so that you now have the pomegranate cut into quarter sections.
- 4). Hold one quarter in your hands and begin to separate the seeds from the white membranes and peels. Allow the seeds to fall into the bowl and set the membranes and outer peelings aside for disposal. Repeat with each quarter.
- 5). Serve the seeds immediately or store them for up to 3 days in the refrigerator. Clean up the counter area.
