Unfinished Leather

• 1). Rub an emery board over the glue stain on the sofa to work away the glue. It may also remove the top few layers of the suede, but this removal will not be noticeable. This process may take a long time if your emery board is dull.
  
  
• 2). Brush off the area to remove the bits of glue stain.
  
  
• 3). Brush the sofa with a suede brush to restore the nap.
  
  

Finished Leather

• 1). Soak a clean cloth in acetone.
  
  
• 2). Lay the acetone-soaked cloth over the glue stain.
  
  
• 3). Cover the area with plastic wrap and leave it alone for several hours.
  
  
• 4). Remove the plastic wrap and cloth and wipe away the acetone and glue residue.
  
  
• 5). Rinse the area with clean water and dry it completely.
