Oregano Oil and Olive Oil

• A drop of oregano oil applied to a sore tooth will reduce the pain. Also, if you know it is a dental infection, mix a drop of oregano oil and a drop or two of olive oil and then apply three to four times a day to the infected area, and this will destroy the infection. The reason for its effectiveness is that it's a natural antibiotic.
  
  

Clove Oil

• If a toothache is caused by a cavity, clean the cavity out with a toothpick or dental floss. Next soak a bit of cotton in clove oil and then pack the cavity with it. Clove oil has disinfecting properties and will help to kill any bacteria so they don't make the tooth hurt worse. You should avoid prolonged skin exposure with clove oil because it burns the skin, so make sure to wash your hands after handling it. Also, more is not necessarily better, only a few drops are needed to soak the cotton for a toothache. A few drops of clove oil in your mouth is fine because the saliva dilutes it.
  
  

Salt Water

• Fill an 8 oz glass with luke warm water and add as much salt to it as possible, until it all dissolves. Then rinse the mouth out with this mixture. Repeat as many times as needed to until pain relief is felt. Most people report having nearly immediate pain relief once they start swishing this solution over the affected tooth or teeth.
  
  

Onion

• Put a piece of onion on the affected tooth or the gum by or around the affected tooth. It helps because onions have properties that are antibacterial, and they kill the bacteria that are most likely eating away at your tooth and causing the pain to begin with.
