How to Fix Blinking on a ViewSonic LCD
- 1). Wait until the Power LED indicator turns a solid orange color if it blinks orange. The projector is cooling off the lamp before it powers off from Standby mode. Press the "Power" button to "Off" when the Power LED indicator turns a solid orange color.
- 2). Wait until the Power LED indicator turns a solid green color if it blinks green. It needs to warm up and will be ready for use when it stops blinking.
- 3). Wait until the Power LED indicator stops blinking if it blinks red and the Lamp or Temp LED indicator is a solid red color. The inside of the projector has overheated. Press the "Power" button to the "Off" position. Let the projector cool for 30 minutes or longer, if needed. Remove obstructions blocking the vents. Press the "Power" button to the "On" position.
- 4). Raise the ambient temperature if the Power LED indicator lights a solid green and both the Lamp and Temp LED indicators blink red alternately.
- 5). Press the "Power" button to the "Off" position if both Power and Temp LED indicators blink red. The cooling fan has stopped working. Let the projector cool for 30 minutes or longer if needed. Remove any obstructions from the fan. Press the "Power" button to "On" when finished.
- 1). Set the fan speed to High if the Power LED indicator is still blinking red and the Lamp or Temp LED indicator is still a solid red color.
- 2). Press the "Menu" button on the projector or remote control. Use the directional arrow keys to make your selections. Select "Go to Advance Menu." Press the "Enter" button.
- 3). Select "Option." Press the "Enter" button.
- 4). Select "High." Press the "Enter" button.
- 1). Clean or change the air filter if the Power LED indicator is still blinking red or a solid green and the Lamp or Temp LED indicator is still a solid red color. Press the "Power" button to the "Off" position. Let the projector cool for 30 minutes or longer if needed.
- 2). Unplug the power cord and all external adapters, devices and connectors from the projector and wall outlet. Hold the projector as you slowly turn it so that the lens faces upward.
- 3). Slide the lens cover back and remove it from the projector.
- 4). Gently turn the projector upside down.
- 5). Replace the old filter with a new one or clean the filter using a vacuum on low power. Vacuum the filter cover. Align the filter inside the rail of the filter cover.
- 6). Reinstall the filter cover. The tabs should click into place. Replug the power cord and all external adapters, devices and connectors to the projector and wall outlet.
- 7). Press the "Menu" button on the projector or remote control. Use the directional arrow keys to make your selections. Select "Go to Advance Menu." Press the "Enter" button.
- 8). Select "Option." Press the "Enter" button. Press and hold down the "Reset" button for three seconds. Select "Reset."
- 1). Replace the lamp if the Power LED indicator is still blinking red and the Lamp or Temp LED indicator is still a solid red color. Press the "Power" button to the "Off" position. Let the projector cool for one hour or longer if needed.
- 2). Gently turn the projector upside down. Use the screwdriver to loosen the lamp cover screw. Unlatch the lamp cover and remove it from the projector.
- 3). Use the screwdriver to loosen the two lamp screws. Pick up the lamp handles and remove the lamp from the projector.
- 4). Install a new lamp and its screws. Reinstall the lamp cover and reinstall the screws.
- 5). Gently turn the projector back over, right-side up.
- 6). Press the "Menu" button on the projector or remote control. Use the directional arrow keys to make your selections. Select "Go to Advance Menu." Press the "Enter" button. Select "Option." Press the "Enter" button. Select "Lamp Time." Press and hold down the "Reset" button for three seconds. Press the "Up" directional arrow to select "Reset."
- 7). Reset the lamp cover if both Power and Lamp LED indicators blink red. Press the "Power" button to the "Off" position. Let the projector cool for one hour or longer if needed. Remove the lamp cover door and reset it so that it snaps into place.
