How to Build Stuff in "Minecraft"
- 1). Gather wood from trees. Hold down the left mouse button to harvest materials.
- 2). Press "I" to open your inventory.
- 3). Drag wood into the crafting space in the inventory window. This will turn wood blocks into wooden planks.
- 4). Make a crafting bench by putting a wooden plank in each square of the crafting area. Move it to your action bar and right-click to set it on the ground.
- 5). Right-click the crafting bench to open the enhanced crafting window.
- 6). Place two wooden planks in the window, one on top of the other. This will convert the planks into sticks.
- 7). Craft a wooden pick by making a "T" shape in the crafting box. Put three wooden planks on the top row, and two sticks in the middle column. A pick allows you to mine stone, which is a more solid building material than dirt.
- 8). Harvest stone or dirt. Dirt can be gathered with just your hands. Once a block is broken down, a small cube will fall where the block once was. Walk over the blocks to gather them.
- 9). Select the building material of your choice from your action bar. Press the right mouse button to place the block. You can build houses, statues and forts by placing blocks in certain patterns.
