103 10
A big hit in the Holistic Health community is the new book, Creating a Successful Holistic Health Practice.
It is an outstanding business book written specifically for practitioners and therapists on how to begin or expand their Holistic Health business.
Dawn Fleming, the author, shares her 19 years of experience in working in the field.
She provides concrete ways to maximize earning potential, increase clientele, and to manifest a practice that is satisfying on all levels.
Dawn Fleming guides the practitioner in both the inner and outer work for creating a success Holistic Health business.
There are many exercises in the book to align the reader with their vision and goals.
The book addresses many topics including: marketing, networking, obtaining referrals, effectively running a business, setting healthy boundaries, using the Internet to generate clients, setting fees, making business alliances, becoming a CEU provider, dealing with issues around charging money, and much more.
Dawn believes that Holistic Health practitioners should be able to make a living well at doing what they love.
In this book, she gives the tools and methods to support practitioners to be successful.
She has been working and teaching in the field full-time since 2001 when she left her government job to pursue a career in Holistic Health.
This book would benefit any massage therapist, Reiki or Healing Touch practitioner, acupuncturist, holistic nurse, reflexologist, life coach, naturopathic doctor, social worker, Shiatsu practitioner, or yoga instructor.
Dawn also recorded a CD to go with the book entitled Meditations for Success.
The meditations support a lot of the exercises in the book.
I understand that Dawn turned the book into a home study course for continuing education credit for massage therapists and acupuncturists.
