Tips For Creating More Handmade Cards in Less Time!
Everyone loves to send and receive handmade cards.
But the amount of time it takes can be frustrating! Here are some tips to help you save time and speed up the process.
·First, if at all possible, have a designated space for your crafting.
It can be a whole room or a corner in a room.
The main thing is that it is your space, and no one else touches it.
Inform your kids and spouse (if applicable) that this is YOUR SPACE! ·Keep your supplies organized! This is difficult for some people.
If you are one of those people, take some quiet time to get all your supplies organized before beginning any projects.
Then, when you do work on a project you will be able to complete it faster and easier.
And, you will have a much more enjoyable experience.
When you are finished, PUT EVERYTHING AWAY! ·Make multiples.
When you take the time to make a greeting card for a special occasion, don't just make one.
Think about the future needs you will have.
You will find that it takes less time to make two or three of the same card than it does to create two or three originals.
PLUS you already have the supplies out that you need for your project! Don't worry about having duplicates - I am sure you know lots of people who will never know that you gave the same card to someone else.
·Organize your completed cards: Have a place to store your cards until you need them.
Keep them organized by theme/occasion.
Guess what will happen when you suddenly find out a co-worker has a birthday tomorrow? When you get home that night pull out your box of completed cards, select the one you want to use, fill it out and take it to work the next day.
Voila! No stress and no last minute running to the store, standing in line and spending a lot of money.
