    • 1). Allow the aluminum cookware to cool completely before washing. This will prevent the cookware from warping over time.

    • 2). Fill the sink with warm water and add several generous squirts of dishwashing detergent to the water. Swish the water around with your hands to activate the bubbles.

    • 3). Place the aluminum cookware into the soapy water and use the dish cloth to wash the surface of the cookware. Use the plastic scouring pad to loosen stubborn food particles, if necessary.

    • 4). Rinse the cookware with warm water and dry the cookware with the dish towel.

    • 5). Remove stubborn food by placing 4 cups of water into the pan. Add 2 tbsp. of cream of tartar and 2 tbsp. white vinegar to the water and stir the ingredients. Simmer the ingredients on the stove top for approximately 10 minutes. Pour out the mixture and allow the pan to cool. Wash the cookware following Steps 2 through 4.

    • 6). Make a paste of equal parts baking soda and water to remove stains on the outside of the aluminum. Work the paste into the pan and rinse with warm water.

    • 7). Remove stains from acidic food by soaking the aluminum cookware in a mixture of 1 tsp. white vinegar to 8 oz. of water. Make enough of this solution to fill the aluminum cookware so the stains are beneath the solution. Bring the mixture to a boil for two minutes. Pour out the mixture and rinse the aluminum cookware with cool water.
