How to Use Pantone Colors in Illustrator
- 1). Open your graphics file in Adobe Illustrator.
- 2). Click "Window" in the top menu bar, select "Swatch Libraries," and then hold your mouse over the "Color Books" option.
- 3). Click the name of the Pantone swatch library you want to view (such as "PANTONE solid coated," "PANTONE pastel uncoated"). The swatch palette will appear on the right side of the screen.
- 4). Single-click an object in your graphics file to select it.
- 5). Scroll down through the swatch palette until you find the square containing your preferred Pantone color, and then single-click the square. The object you selected in the previous step will take on that Pantone color immediately.
