How to Access a Secure Remote PC
- 1). Go through your network settings and make sure that the computer you're attempting to access is set up to allow remote management.
- 2). Sign in to your computer's administrator account; in order to remotely access another computer on the network, you must be logged into this account.
- 3). Click on the "Start" button to open the "Start" menu.
- 4). Select "Control Panel."
- 5). Select "Performance and Maintenance" and then select "Administrative Tools."
- 6). Select "Computer Management."
- 7). Right-click on "Computer Management (Local)." This will generate a drop-down menu. Click on "Connect to another computer."
- 8). Click on "Another Computer." Select the name of the computer you wish to remotely manage. Also available is a "Browse" button; this will allow you to see the list of networked computers, where you should be able to find the one you'd like to connect to.
- 9). Connect to the applicable computer. All Windows applications on the proxy computer should now be available for you to access.
