Types

• Glo Germ comes in both liquid and powder form. One is used for hand washing training, the other for cleaning.
  
  

Liquid

• The liquid is used for proper hand washing techniques. You wash your hands with the spray oil or gel, rinse, then turn on the UV light. Any Glo Germ left on the hands will illuminate, demonstrating that the hand washing technique used was insufficient for eliminating germs.
  
  

Powder

• The powder comes in orange and white, which can't be easily seen. You spread the powder on the area to be cleaned. If the orange powder is used, it will be obvious if cleaning was improperly performed. If using white, you must illuminate the area with UV light to demonstrate the cleaning results.
  
  

Other Uses

• Hygienic Solutions reports that it has been used to demonstrate safe handling of radioactive material, and by members of the United States Association of Tattooists to "to help fight in the threat to tattooists from AIDS. "
