How to Make Reindeer Christmas Tree Ornaments
Things You'll Need
Instructions
1Paint the light bulb dark brown. If you set the light bulb inside an empty toilet tissue roll that has been cut down to about 2 inches, the paint can dry easily without getting all over the table or smearing.
2
Paint a small, light brown circle on one side of the light bulb to represent the muzzle area. The screw part of the light bulb is used as the top of the reindeer's head.
3
Apply black and white paint to make eyes above the muzzle area and to draw a mouth inside the muzzle. Make sure the light bulb neck, or screw portion, is pointed up as you add the facial features.
4
Add the red pom-pom at the very top of the muzzle area to represent Rudolph's red nose.
5
Glue the red ribbon onto the back of the reindeer's head near the screw portion of the light bulb to make a hanger.
6
Snip off the twigs into an antler shape and glue them onto the back of the reindeer's head. Alternatively, you may use brown craft wire by wrapping one 6 inch section around the screw portion of the light bulb and attaching several smaller sections to the long wire piece to form antlers. Use plenty of glue so the antlers don't dislodge easily.
7
Cut the brown felt into two ear shapes approximately 2 inches long and mount them slightly below the antlers on the side of the reindeer's head.
